My writing course

I'm doing a correspondence course in writing which has no time limit. Over a year ago I became disillusioned because I felt that I didn't get support from my tutor and I haven't completed an assignment in all of that time. But I thought that I may as well try and complete the course as I'd already paid for it so I committed myself to completing my outstanding assignment by the end of June. I did that and I got my marked assignment back today.
The good news is that I my tutor has changed because my original one has now left. I actually feel like this one critiqued my work rather than just criticised it.
I think that I might actually complete it now.

Is that a Writers' Bureau course? I started one too, 4 years ago, but never finished it, and I doubt I ever will.

But it did get me started, and taught me how to submit, and not to be afraid, etc. So in that respect it was money well spent, because I never would have started without having forked out to do so.

Good luck if you're picking your course up again. Fiction or non-fiction or both?

It is a WB course and as I've already earned back my course fee I have had my monies worth I suppose. I started on the non fiction but switched to fiction about 18 months ago.
