Norah says no - again and again and...

I keep my rejection slips in a box - I don't know why, I guess it must be the sadist in me. Anyway, I've just gone through this box and discovered that I have more rejections from Norah McGrath at Take a Break than any other editor. In fact last week I git two stories rejected by her on the same day. It's a good job I don't take it personally.

Hey I'd like to get the word out that I am desperately looking for manuscripts to publish. I work for a small faith-based publishing company in Indiana and we are actively seeking new authors for traditional publishing--the kind where we pay to publish your book. We want to publish the kinds of books that positively impact people, offer hope, make a difference and even change lives. We seek inspiring/motivating stories and instructional/reference manuscripts across a variety of genres including nonfiction, fiction, children’s books, and textbooks. If you have a manuscript to submit, please visit our company online at www.powerpublishinginc.com for our easy submission guidelines and more information about us and what we publish. I would really appreciate your help in spreading the word! Thanks!

Oh you have my sympathy. The other week I had five rejections from Norah on the same day. That stung!

I think Norah has a bit of a habit of having big clear-outs now and again, and sending everything back in one go. Don't take it personally - she probably just needed more desk-space.

But you certainly have my sympathy as well!
