Email

I had an email today from a magazine editor who had asked for some non fiction ideas which I duly provided. Well the ideas didn't blow them away but they have asked to see some writing samples. I have now provided them and I'll wait another 2 months for a reply. I don't mean that to sound the way that I realise it does because this particular editor always takes that length of time so I'll not be looking out for a reply any time soon.

I do understand how you are feeling, Colette. Everything does seem to take forever to hear back, but at least it gives you some hope. I know I get very impatient to hear back, but I'm just as impatient with myself for not getting things finished. :-)

I know what you mean Paula. I want to hear about everything right away. I think I am getting more patient with age though.

Hi Colette,
I always think the hardest part of writing is the waiting for a response from an editor. At least when you're writing it's all within your own control.
I really don't think I'll ever get used to this part of it.
Good luck with those submissions. x

Hi Rena, Lovely to "meet" you. The good thing for me is that I tend to forget things very quickly thanks to a road accident when I was a child so most of the time I forget that I'm waiting for an answer.
