Advice anyone?

Some time ago (and I mean some time ago - several years and a few more probably) I bought a correspondence writing course safe in the knowledge that if I completed the course without earning what I'd paid I could get my money back. I'm sure you can guess that I haven't completed the course in fact, it must be over a year since I completed the last assignment. I think me next assignment is to write a radio play but I'm not sure, it's that long since I looked at it. I'm sure that I'm not the first person to lose my enthusiasm for a writing course so has anyone any advice on how to get back on track? I have paid for the course, I would like to finish it.

I bought that course on ebay. I couldn't officially register for it but I wanted to read the leaflets that came with it. I think I read the one on short stories and the one on novels and then...um...it got very dusty in a corner and I sold it on ebay (and made more money than I'd bought it for!).

I know a lot of writers that haven't finished that course - probably how they can get away with saying make your money back WHEN YOU FINISH IT or get a refund (because so few people do!)

I couldn't claim my money back because I have earned what it cost me. However, I don't know how much of that was down to what I learned from the excercises that I did.

I'd advise only finishing it if you really want to - if you are interested in the modules still to come. Not just because you paid for it.

I started that same course, paid the money, and gave it up fairly early on. It did help me to get started, taught me how to be professional about subs etc, but then I found the niche I wanted to be in, and decided to put the course to one side for a while (and that was 4 years ago now, so I guess I won't ever go back to it).

You're absoloutly right womag. Just because I paid for it isn't a good enough reason to finish something. Maybe I should take a leaf out of Calistro's book and sell it on ebay.
