A question
Okay so this may be a bit of an odd question but all I can say is remember that I am going back to basics.
I have 2 stories that I want to send to the same editor and oddly enough this is a "problem" that I haven't had before, so what I would like to know is, is it okay to send them together or should the be sent seperately? Also is Shirley Blair still the Fiction Editor of People's Friend? All guidleines I read for PF say that I should address the submission to "The Fiction Editor" which I will do if that's what they prefer but in my head I would like to know the name of the person that I am writing to.

I've read several times recently that it's fine to send two stories at once but probably no more. And as far as I'm aware, it is Shirley Blair at PF. Do you ever go to the womagwriter blog? It's worth consulting on all such questions : ) Good luck.
Thanks Abigail. I did try womags blog because I can usually find the answers over there but her last post about PF was a while ago and people change so often. It doesn't matter really because they say that they want submissions addressed to "The Fiction Editor."
Definitely send in more than one at a time - it saves on postage. They'll give you the name of someone to address future submissions to :-)

I don't think there is a problem with sending more than one story. When I email I attach one story at a time but when I send via traditional mail (especially overseas) sometimes I send up to five stories and nobody has complained. I agree with Teresa about saving on postage. :-)

I was always unsure if sending more than one was okay, but took the plunge and sent two on my last attempt. It was fine. I'm relieved to have this comfirmed though! :)
