Products of my ongoing apprenticeship.

My deadline for sending BTL to my chosen agent is a week tomorrow and I have spent the last hour or so working on my writing CV.
Successes to date:
14 short stories and 5 articles.
I don't know what to think about that.
Well I've thought a minute and I think that I'm happy. Seven of those hits have come in the last year and four have come since Christmas so I think that I'm getting better. Also I am producing more and I am submitting more. I now work in a more structured way. I will view my success so far as the products of my ongoing apprenticeship.
P.S. I know that there may be some reading this who have yet to be published and are wondering what I am moaning about. I am NOT moaning I promise you. There are lots and lots of people with more success than I've had and good for them. But my success is mine and I'm proud of it.

That sounds like a really good CV to me and I'm sure agents do like to see it because it shows you are serious about your writing.

There's nothing wrong with feeling proud of one's own achievements. I think that's a great score you have there, Colette. I'm proud of what I have done so far. Five nonfiction, lots of photographs and four letters and no stories yet, but I have had my first novel read by a publisher. Now I'm aiming higher so who knows.

Good luck always

Helen - I'm trying to be more serious about my writing which wasn't always the case.
Jarmara - You should always aim high. Good luck.
Suzanne - Thanks, I am a bit.
FP - Cheers - when put into perspective against the time I have been able to give it, it's okay.

I agree with everyone else - you're right to be proud, and I certainly didn't think you were moaning! No matter how much you've had published, you will always strive for more, that goes without saying. Those successes on your CV will definitely be in your favour. x

Thanks Olivia - and thanks for the help with the CV.
Oh Joanne that seems like a million years ago. Coming out of the closet so to speak was the best thing that I did.
