Not such a good start...

..to the new year writing wise but not so bad either so what am I moaning about? It has been "okay." January wasn't as prolific as December but it had a few successful days. February has got off to a slow start but then it is only the 3rd so there's time to improve.
I was on a roll before Christmas but then I sort of lost the momentum and never picked it up again. Well I guess I have had a lot on my mind - and yes its still whizzing round the space between my ears.
And a quick note about the "full time writer" experiment. It was relatively successful but it taught me that I'm not really at the stage in my writing where I can afford to give up the day job and rely on what I can earn from writing.
Heres to the rest of 2011.
BTW Its dear old Ma and Pa's 60th (yes I said 60th) wedding anniversary today. Go them!!!

Happy Anniversary to your Ma & Pa. Time flies went you're having fun!

I'm not anywhere near being at the point where I can live off my writing, just lucky that the company I worked for wanted to pay me to leave them and make a living by myself...lol

Good luck with your writing projects in 2011, Colette

Hi Colette,

With regards to your experiment of writing full time, I think you should be proud of yourself have at least having a go.
For me, I sometimes wish that my writing was at a standard where I could even think about doing it as a full time career. For now I am enjoying my writing purely as a form of expression and creativity.

Great blog by the way.
Happy writing,

Adam

Thanks everyone I will pass on your conratulations.
Jarmara - Hows it going?
karen - momentum stuttering a bit due to bit of a cold and heavy workload with the day job.
Adam - I think that I would always struggle to rely on writing completely because its just too unreliable. I like a regular income. Thanks for the comment about the blog BTW.
Joanne - I know. I'm almost half way there and I struggle to get my head around the fact that they have done it twice.

Congratulations to your parents, Colette! And keep on keeping on with the writing! :-)

Thanks Amanda. I'm trying to keep going with the writing but there's a lot on my mind at the moment and I'm struggling to get the momentum that I had before Christmas back. never mind, tomorrow is another day.

Belated Happy Anniversay to your parents.

You're so right, it is very hard to pick up writing momentum once you stop. I haven't written anything much since well before Christmas.

Thanks Suzanne and I know what you mean. Before Christmas there was no stopping me. I had the momentum, the words were flowing and I was seeing results. Now I'm not doing half as much as I was then.
