Still here

Not much writing going on around here at the moment. There's too much going on with that Christmas thing that's just around the corner. I know that shouldn't be an excuse but it's a fact. I will try to do better next year.
I did do some planning during for the next section of NRIMH the week and I have a story for Womag2Weekly that is a work in progress so actually on reflection that's not too bad considering all the other things that are floating around in my head.
And on top of all those floating thoughts there's been the snow to contend with. We probably have 5 or 6 inches at the moment and the local roads aren't pretty but at least we're not snowed in as long as we take them very slowly and carefully. I had to go shopping (no I HAD to - we were running out of stuff) and it took me three times as long to drive the first mile and a half as it did the final three miles.
Anyway, just thought that I would check in and confirm that I am still alive and kicking.

Yes I ventured out today in the car, feeling like I was taking my life in my hands, and drove very, very slowly. I was glad to get home again! It's snowing again now, really heavily :oO

Sounds like you've got plenty going on, with the writing too :o)

I know Karen, I thought that I wasn't doing much until I wrote it down.
It is pretty scary when you drive in snow. If anything I would say that our road is the worst today that it has been since this bad weather started. It seems a lot icier.
Stay safe.

Glad you're surviving, Colette - I haven't ventured out in the car yet! When I was at work I drove through snow and ice whenever necessary, but now I don't need to go out, I ... don't! Luckily I got ahead with the Christmas shopping, and have finally finished wrapping, so only have the last Food Shop to do before everyone arrives for Christmas. So ... unexpectedly ... I found time today to start the Next Novel!! (Fanfare, Drum Roll, etc etc). Now I'll be itching to carry on with it after Christmas! Well done with your own writing and I wish you lots and lots of luck with it next year. xx

Thank you Olivia and good luck with the new novel. Come the new year there'll be no stopping you. Good for you getting ahead - I think I'll be done tomorrow. Then I'll wrap on Wednesday. Even though I have to work on Thursday our Christmas celebrations will start on Wednesday. Have a wonderful Christmas and hoping that lots of good things come your way in 2010.

Hi Colette

My writing has been terribly neglected in last few weeks due to ill health and Christmas preps. However, I'm looking forward to returning in the new year with renewed enthusiasm and vigour - there are lots of projects I'd like to start and more importantly, some I'd like to finish!

Wishing you and yours a very Happy christmas and 2010
