Please can someone help. I'm getting so annoyed with myself because I still can't comment on certain blogs - Olivia's and LilyS's to name but 2. The thing is that I have absoloutly no idea why. There's probably a very good chance that I've clicked something but God only knows what. Or does He? Does anyone else have any idea what I have done.
BTW Hope you're feeling better soon Lily.

Aww just read this. Thank you! No idea what you could have clicked. It's odd that its just certain blogs and not all and as i have had other comments i couldnt say that it was mine being the problem. I occasionally get an error message coming up on some but it seems to work after i try a second time. Maybe you could email blogger support? Hope you get it sorted soon - I hate not being able to comment.

What are the exact symptoms of "can't comment"? If you tell me the steps you take to reproduce the problem, then I'll try to help. Are there any common factors to the blogs you're having difficulty with? For example, do they all have the embedded comment entry form rather than the one that pops up in a separate window? What kind of web browser (and version) do you use? Does it help to try a different browser (see my article about this)?
What about the blogs you are able to successfully comment on? What do they have in common, I wonder? I'm sure we can get to the bottom of this issue, given enough information.

Sorry I have know idea, Colette, Have you try getting going to their blog via google or some other fresh link and commenting rather than using your link to their blog. There may be something wrong with your link.

Captain the blogs that I'm having problems with have embedded comment entry. The ones that have a seperate pop up seem fine (touch wood.)
I haven't tried going through google jarmara but I will.
I'm afraid I can't help either Colette, it seems a bit odd. Hope you get it sorted soon :o)

I suspected the embedded comment form might be involved. I had some issues with those a while back but an upgrade to my browser (now Opera 10.10) seems to have resolved this for me. Having said that, I do not believe it was a browser issue but a blogger one. Known issues are: http://knownissues.blogspot.com/2009/07/2019354.html and http://knownissues.blogspot.com/2008/09/if-you-have-customized-template-or-have.html so perhaps your problem is related to one of those?
I suggest you write out the exact steps you take when trying to leave a comment on one or more of the problem blogs, together with the exact behaviour, expected or otherwise, and any error messages you get. If you send that to me and/or report them to blogger, then your issue may get resolved more quickly.
I don't think that I'm doing anything different to what I always did Captain. I click on "comments" and see the ones that have already been left but the box that I should be able to leave my comment in isn't there. It's like it hasn't formed properly.
