I sold another story today. I got the email this morning and it felt great. Its the third story that I've sold this week and my first in four months. Just as well we weren't relying on it to eat.
I mention the sale here for two reasons. Firstly because this is where I tell the world of whats happening with my writing and secondly because I believe that most of you will be happy for me.
I know that some may read this and think that three sales is nothing to boast about and there may be some truth in that because I know that it is way less than what some people have achieved this year. But by that same token I also know that it is three more than some others have sold and for that I am grateful and thank my lucky stars.

I've only sold one short story this year, so I'm v. impressed with your three in a week.
Will you tell us when they're being published so we can look out for them?

Mega typo there Suzanne. That should have read third this year. Three in a week - I wish. (Note to self - read what you've written before you post.) Two have already been published and I'm not sure when the one I sold today is due out but I will let you know.
Jarmara please don't give up. It is hard to carry on sometimes but when I'm feeling bad about my lack of success I try and remember why I write in the first place and that is primarily because I enjoy it. I do it for me and getting published is the cherry on the cake. I do get a buzz when somethings accepted but I get far more pieces rejected. Sadly you can't have one without risking the other. Hang in there.
